Uinta Mountain Range Slidewshow!!!

Taylor's Squaw Peak photos from two weeks ago!

A very ducky video

Feeding the ducks is a fun Sunday activity

This morning Taylor and I unsuccessfully made waffles. What is someone's trash is another person's treasure...or in this case many ducks' treasure.

Uinta Mountain Range Video!!

This is our video we took where we were behind the two front mountains that provide the backdrop to Provo.

Why hike when you can drive?

Taylor and I got up Saturday morning and got ready to hike Squaw Peak. We made sandwiches, grabbed snacks, and got water ready. We decided it would be a good idea to buy a camelback for me since we're planning on doing a lot of hiking. We finally found a good one after the FOURTH store. It was actually on sale for $20

This is a good representation of it right here. Pretty nice, huh?

After the shopping trip we both didn't feel like using the middle point of the day to hike it. Hiking Squaw Peak would take around 6 hours we estimated. Its an eight mile hike up and down. So, we decided we would drive up Squaw Peak. There's this drive you can take up Provo Canyon to the Squaw Peak lookout. However, once you get to the fork in the road where you can turn right to drive up to the overlook, you can also turn left and keep going further up. I've been wanting to take Taylor further up since we've been back. I've been up there twice and it is so beautiful. It is beautiful mostly because you end up right in the middle of the Uinta mountain range. On all sides of you are mountains. Anyway, pictures are better than words so here are the photos! Enjoy!

Why Hike Y?

Taylor and I started the weekend by hiking the Y.  The parking lot at the start of the trail was the most packed I've ever seen it.  It was probably due to the fact that there was a big game in Provo and people wanted to squeeze in a good hike before the big game.  Going up was a lot harder than I remembered, but it was still fun. The view at the top of the Y was beautiful.  We saw two temples from where we were.  We could see (of course) the Provo Temple and the Mount Tempanogos temple.  Anyway, the way down was a lot easier and a lot faster than the way up.  Taylor practically ran the whole way down.  I'm not as sure footed so I made sure to take my time.  I can see myself breaking a leg or an arm or something!  Anyway, here are some pictures of our hike up and down the hike. :)

For some reason this image is uploading all goofy. It was fine the first time I uploaded it, but once I went back to straighten all the pictures its uploading with a weird mark. It's such a good photo, too. I'll try to fix it later.

Bridal Veil Falls video!

More pictures of Our Adventures!

These are pictures of Taylor and I at Bridal Veil Falls.  Its this really pretty waterfall in the Provo Canyon.  We hiked up there last Sunday to enjoy the sights of nature!  A video should be coming up too!

Hello and welcome!

....to Taylor and Aleni's blog! We decided that this would be the best way to keep all of our family and friends updated and where we can share our pictures with everyone. The doggy picture above should be replaced here soon (in case you were wondering). We don't have a dog although we would like one, but our apartments do not allow. it. Taylor and I have been in Utah for three weeks now and we have both decided that time has gone by fast. I think once we found a place to call home things just started speeding by. We've started a pattern of going on hikes every weekend and so far we have gone to Squaw Peak, Bridal Veil Falls, and recently we hiked up the Y. Here are some pictures of our adventures! Turn your head for some pictures.
