I was late to church today....which is not unusual (hey! it happens!)and Taylor and I snuck into the back quietly while the song was still going. I politely asked Taylor for the outside seat so that Hugo could go and do his wiggle worm thing. Toddler=not still! Hugo will sit in my lap for maybe .2 seconds and then find something on the floor or on the wall infinitely more fascinating. My mommy job is to make sure he doesn't run away too far (It's very important). As I sat down and looked ahead for my weekly scan of people watching I found my mother and her family and sitting close by was a woman that suspiciously looked like my sister.....How could this be?! My sister lives all the way in Colorado and I was positive she wasn't here. I whipped my head around to Taylor and whispered, "Is that Ani!? That can't be Ani!" I didn't see her boys. So I sat there completely distracted for two minutes, uncomfortably staring down this doppelganger of my sister. Then she turned and I knew! As sure as I knew that thrift stores rock that that my sister was here!! She had come and surprised us all! What a wonderful surprise to have my sister come into town. I look forward to a week of goofiness and silliness and crazy fun! yay!
P.S. Have I mentioned that my son is a stud?
